 They Are Getting it Right!

It took playing on the same team four (4) Sundays in 2020 for Jeff Kordenbrock and Ken Ramey to finally hit the winner’s circle as a team. On Sunday, June 21st, they posted an outstanding 29 (seven under par) on the front nine (yellow side). And they didn’t let up when they added a 34 on the back nine (green side). Throw in three (3) skins and the team collected 52.0 points. Jeff jumped up into 3rd place. Mo is in 4th.

Sunday's Featured Pairing Came Up Short!

The excitement of seeing the the LBD, II Golf Tour's 80 year olds paired together caught the interest of thousands of fans. Wayne Michels and Lee Davis, Jr. were partners for the first time in 2020. Usually they provide comedy relief for the players with their post match impersonation of Waldorf and Staler of Muppets fame as the winning team and the good skins are counted. This Sunday, they actually took their skills to the golf course. Lee missed shooting his age by one (1) stroke! Wayne had 84.  Their 30 on the front nine (yellow side) and 34 on the back nine (green side) were each short by a shot. Lee's only comment following the match was, “Maybe I need to check the ‘book’ on some of these handicaps!”

Their luck got even worse. They bought a lottery ticket with their $4 skin money. They had NO numbers on their ticket! NONE!

Same Reaction!

Everyone has probably seen the actor, Dennis Haysbert in the All State Insurance commercials. You know the one where everone says “That the Safe Drivers Save 40% guy!”  When they recognize him.

Well the Staff has found out that same reaction occurs with Tour member, Ken (Mo) Ramey stops at Chick-fil-A each golfing morning or just any morning to pick up a quick breakfast.
“Hey, everyone look, it’s Ole Mo. Get his meal and coffee ready quick!”
Ken has become quite a favorite with the folks at Chick-fil-A. He is like a social icon! There are a number of individuals from the Hood who seem to be jealous of Mo’s popularity!

Mo agrees to drive a lot. We thank him for that! But his car automatically goes directly to the Chick-fil-A.
